Rat Control Across Adjoining Lincolnwood Properties

May 2023–ongoing

Problem Summary

Heavy rat activity affected adjoining backyards in Lincolnwood. One property had roughly 15–20 active burrows, and another had even more. Burrowing had left parts of the yards bare and disturbed. Rats were moving through the surrounding properties, so the problem extended beyond any single backyard.

What We Did

My Pest Crew began working across the properties in May 2023. Initial treatment and follow-up developed into continuing maintenance, with each visit focused on current rat activity and places where burrows had reopened or new ones appeared. As conditions changed, attention shifted to the properties and areas that needed it.

Results

Over the course of the program, heavily burrowed ground gave way to grass and stretches with no active burrows. The yards did not all improve at the same pace, and rats returning from surrounding areas sometimes brought renewed activity. Ongoing maintenance helps keep that activity under control and protect the progress made in the residents’ yards.
