Backyard Rat Control Within Broader Exterior Activity in West Ridge

August 2026–ongoing
Residential garage and backyard property context from a West Ridge Rat Control project

Problem Summary

High rat activity was present in the backyard, with five active burrows on the property and substantial additional burrowing in the nearby alley and surrounding properties. The yard was part of a wider exterior condition, not an isolated pocket of activity confined to one residential lot.

What We Did

My Pest Crew began treating the exterior rat activity in early August and returned in early September. Comparing both sides of the yard showed where activity had quieted and where rats were returning along the shared boundary.

Results

The property changed unevenly. On one side, previously active burrows remained covered and activity became substantially quieter. Along the shared boundary, burrows reopened and new activity appeared. With rats continuing to move in from the nearby alley and surrounding properties, the household switched to a rodent maintenance plan. We recommended the next visit in one month, with future timing guided by activity at the property.
